Antique Kimono and Hagire Pop-Up Market Produced by Rinko Kimino/Japanese Culture & Style

A free event in the CAFAM Shop

Rinko Kimino is an established Japanese author, designer, and kimono expert who serves as a cultural ambassador by introducing goods well-known in Japan to an American marketplace. Join us for a very special pop-up event with Rinko, who will be bringing antique kimonos and obis as well as hagire, small pieces of kimono fabric ready to be imagined into something beautiful. Community Printmaking

6:30-9:30pm 
Cost per session: $25/$20 Members

Whether you are a novice or expert printer, join other like-minded folks for our printmaking sessions that offer space, basic supplies, and casual instruction. Materials for various relief printing processes, collograph, and monotype are on hand. Small etching presses and letterpresses are also available for use. For ages 17 years + up. RSVP required to workshops@cafam.org

Poet Brendan Constantine curates a program of original ekphrastic works by a select group of poets in response to the exhibition Man-Made: Contemporary Male Quilters. Poets include Amy Gerstler, Steven Reigns, and Mandy Kahn. The poetry reading will be followed with a casual reception. Sponsored by the Ruskin Art Club.
