Cut Along The Line: An Evening of Readings in Conjunction with The Big Read

In celebration of Luis Alberto Urrea's novel Into The Beautiful North, writer Marisela Norte brings together writers Luis Alfaro, Kenji Liu, and Melinda Palacio for a reading of poetry and prose on the immigrant imagination, erasing borders, and the great divide. The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. Juror & Artists Discussion for Focus Iran: Contemporary Photography and Video

Join exhibition juror Cat Jimenez, Executive Director of the Lucie Foundation, and a group of exhibiting artists for a gallery tour and conversation about the development of the exhibition and works on display. Participating artists are: Sohrab Akhavan, Mehdi Hawaii Sardehaii, Marjan Vayghan, and Siamak Nasiri Ziba. This program is sponsored by Farhang Foundation at the Craft & Folk Art Museum.
